Francisco Silva Silva
Mr. Silva is the Chairman of the Board of Grupo Security.
In 1987, Mr. Silva joined Security Pacific National Bank (California) as its representative in Chile, and was Chairman of Banco Security Pacific. Prior to joining Security Pacific he was the Chief Operating Officer of the Chilean Central Bank (1981-1984), the General Manager of pension fund manager Union (1984-1986), the Vice President of Chase Manhattan Bank N.A. (1979-1980), and the Chief Financial Officer of Banco del Trabajo (1976-1979).
Mr. Silva has also been a board member of Cemento Polpaico since 2001, a cement producer controlled by Holcim, based in Switzerland.
Mr. Silva was previously the Vice Chairman of the board of AES Gener S.A. (1988-2000), a leading electric utility in Chile, Banmédica Group (1990-1992), a health services company, Enersis (1988-1991) and Chilectra (1988-1989), both electric utilities.
He holds a degree in civil engineering from Pontificia Universidad Católica de Chile, and a degree in Engineering and a Master of Science from Stanford University.
